Calendar, Eligibility and Fees
CALENDAR: All dates are 2017
Deadline for Submission of Applications: Friday, July 21th at 11:59pm CST
Notification of Acceptance: Will go out by email Monday, August 7.
Each performer will be notified the time of their performance and where in the gallery it will be located. We encourage every performer to stay for the duration of the performances. Performances will begin at 6 and conclude at 9.
Materials needed for the performance must be delivered by August 25, 2017 A MANDATORY REHEARSAL/WALK THROUGH IS REQUIRED FROM NOON TO 3PM ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 25.
Performance Festival: Friday, August 25 from 6pm - 9pm
Projections or media installations will be accepted for this show. Open to all artists, nationwide and international.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS / HOW TO SUBMIT: Submission is a two-step process.
1) All artists must fill out an online application. A link to this online application can be found on ARC’s website at www.arcgallery.org under the section “News and Events”. (An online payment for show can be paid during this step.) You will receive a confirmation email upon completion of your online application.
2) The following must be submitted by email when confirmation is received.
▪ Jpegs (hi-res) or videos (or links to online videos). All images/videos must be saved using the number corresponding to the image/video list on the online application form, the artists first and last initials, in capitols, and the full title of their artwork. For example: 1CKpathwaystobliss.jpg., 2CKheavensgate.jpg, etc.
▪ Please put “mo - men - tum” in email subject line when ready to send images to gallery email.

EXHIBITION AND DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS:
Artists are asked when applying to be specific with the size of space they will need and the duration of their performance. If the performance needs technical components such as video, sound, etc. the artist must provide equipment as well as their tech crew. Performers are allowed to alter the space of the gallery, such as painting walls, flows, adding props to the space, etc.; however every performing space will be put back EXACTLY how the gallery was when the performance started or can stay at the end of the evening and clean up after the evening. Each accepted artist who will be changing the space must supply a security deposit of $200 on the day of the performance, which will be returned at the end of the evening, only if the space is returned to its exact original condition. ARC will try to accommodate space as best as possible but deciding on the selection of performances with limited gallery space and time the artist request may have to make minor changes and accommodations for the organization of the festival. No work which was not originally selected by juror will be hung.
$40 for one to three images/videos.
Reduced fee for (currently-enrolled) students of $25 for one to three images/videos
If paying by check, it must be received prior to jurying.
PayPal- show fees can be paid on the gallery’s website or when filling out online application. If paying through gallery website there is a link on the home page titled “Pay application fees”. Payment can be made through this link. http://arcgallery.org/application-fees.aspx
Pay by Check- Send one check (total for all entries by one artist) made payable to ARC Gallery with the name of show and the name of the artist submitting to show written in the memo section. Send the check to: ARC Gallery, 2156 N. Damen Ave. Chicago, IL 60647.
ARC exercises professional care when handling submitted work. We do not assume responsibility or liability including but not limited to accidents, damaged work, or forces of nature. Artists who feel their work is fragile should consider carrying their own personal property insurance. Again, the gallery will not assume liability for damage.
ACCEPTED WORK: SHIPPING AND DELIVERY RETURN
With the exception of hand-delivered and picked-up work, all work shipped to and from the gallery must be paid ahead-of-time by the artist.
ARC will pack and make ready for return all shipped work and schedule the pickup. However, ARC will not make any payment or handle work that has to be dropped off for return. Please enclose A PRE-PAID return shipping label with the work. This should be, and can easily be, obtained online at UPS or FEDEX websites at the time work is being shipped to gallery for exhibition.
Work that is left at the gallery more than 14 days after the conclusion of the exhibition--unless special arrangements have been made by the artist with ARC Gallery--will be disposed of by ARC Gallery to free up our limited storage space.
Upon close of show, ARC will alert the chosen shipper that the work is ready for pick-up. Any checks for return shipping made out to ARC will not be accepted nor will handwritten Fed Ex shipment labels. All acceptable pre-paid labels will have a barcode for scanning purposes.
